Notes

'Sun Fast' peony (Paeonia 'Sun Fast') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double, fragrant blooms that look brighter and fuller than those of Officinalis Rubra Plena, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Mrs. Mary E.G. Freeborn bred it.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and Curly Fries hosta.
