Notes

'Sunday Chimes' peony (Paeonia 'Sunday Chimes') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink, cupped flowers have a light sweet fragrance and show ruby red stigmas inside a ring of yellow anthers, and strong stems hold the early blooms upright. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Hollingsworth Nursery introduced it in 1996.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
