Notes

'Sundown' coneflower (Echinacea 'Sundown') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer, and the fragrant flowers draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Yarrow, Sneezeweed, and Sedge.
