Notes

'Sundowner' rose (Rosa 'Sundowner') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The fragrant apricot blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. The foliage is large, dark green, and leathery. Samuel Darragh bred it in 1978.

Pairs well with Purple top, Mondo grass, and Joe Pye weed.
