Notes

'Sunny Day' peony (Paeonia 'Sunny Day') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, light yellow flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Don Hollingsworth bred it in 2011.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and Minuteman hosta.
