Notes
'Sunny Side Up' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sunny Side Up') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white Japanese type flowers have heavy yellow staminodes and red tipped green carpels. Green foliage grows on stems about 36 inches tall. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979.
Pairs well with Lupine, Miss Kim lilac, Cinnamon fern, and Pink Impression tulip.
