Notes

'Sunny Smile' peony (Paeonia 'Sunny Smile') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Mid yellow blooms with dark red flares open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Hicksii yew, and Buffalo grass.
