Notes

'Super Excelsa' rose (Rosa 'Super Excelsa') is a climbing shrub for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows about 94 to 122 inches tall and wide, so give it a sturdy support. Medium red flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Hidcote lavender, Lady's mantle, and Ornamental onion.
