Notes

'Superior' peony (Paeonia 'Superior') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Its single salmon flowers are fragrant, with one bud per stem. Strong stems hold the blooms erect.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Curly Fries hosta, and Blue grama.
