Notes

'Supreme Poppy' common poppy (Papaver rhoeas 'Supreme Poppy') is an annual for borders and containers. It grows well in cool weather and can ride out a light frost. This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant stays drought tolerant once settled. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Flowers open in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Cornflower, Caradonna sage, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
