Notes

'Swedish Pastel' peony (Paeonia 'Swedish Pastel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The lightly fragrant blooms open creamy yellow with rose-pink flares and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Hermann Krupke bred it.

Pairs well with Culver’s root, Dense blazing star, and Western sword fern.
