Notes

'Sweet Adeline' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sweet Adeline') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deep pink single blooms open in mid to late spring. Tall, stiff stems carry them well above the foliage. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1956.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Garlic chives, and Shrub rose.
