Notes

'Sweethearts' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Sweethearts') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Tall, erect stems bloom from early to late summer and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Staking the tall stems helps them stand in wind. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Willow bell, and Henryi clematis.
