Notes

'Black Eyed Angels' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Black Eyed Angels') is a perennial for borders and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its erect stems carry blue, pink, purple, or white flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Stake the tall stems if your site is windy.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Baby's breath, Henryi clematis, and Willow bell.
