Notes
'Szomolyai Fekete' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Szomolyai Fekete') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. It is grown for fresh eating, and the fruit ripens late in the season. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms from early to late spring. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for fruit.
Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Ice Follies daffodil, and Common snowberry.
