Notes

'Taglioni' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Taglioni') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tall, strong stems carry rose-pink blooms with violet shading, a buff center, and crimson flecks in early to mid spring. Modeste Guérin bred it in 1830.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Miss Kim lilac.
