Notes

Tall coneflower (Rudbeckia grandiflora) is a perennial for meadows and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 2 1/2 to 5 feet tall and usually forms colonies, so give it room. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Honey bees, butterflies, and beetles feed on its nectar and pollen.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Texas bluebonnet, and Buffalo grass.
