Notes
'Tan Yun' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Tan Yun') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant violet-red flowers face upward and open in early to late spring. New foliage emerges red and turns yellow-green. Plants stand upright, so you do not need to stake them.
Pairs well with Monkshood, Cinnamon fern, and Rose.
