Notes

'Tanager' coneflower (Echinacea 'Tanager') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant orange blooms open from early to late summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Lemon Queen sunflower, Autumn Frost hosta, Garlic chives, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
