Notes

'Tecumseh' peony (Paeonia 'Tecumseh') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 36 inches tall on heavy stems and has cupped, bright red flowers that smell sweet. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Indian grass, and Nodding onion.
