Notes

'The Ancient Mariner' rose (Rosa 'The Ancient Mariner') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and loamy or clay soil. The large, cupped flowers are glowing pink at the center and fade to light pink at the edges, with a medium to strong, warm myrrh fragrance. Remove rose hips to encourage rebloom. David Austin Roses introduced it in 2015.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Blue fescue, Polish Spirit clematis, and Monsieur Jules Elie peony.
