Notes

Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus) is a shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Bees visit the large white flowers, and birds love the fruit. It spreads by underground rhizomes, so plant it where you want it to spread or where hardscape will contain it.

Pairs well with Witch hazel, Christmas fern, and Anise hyssop.
