Notes
Thyme (Thymus quinquecostatus) is a perennial for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. Pale lilac to rose pink flowers open in mid to late summer. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 3 to 6 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches, so give it room.
Pairs well with Rock rose, Blue grama, and Prickly-pear.

Temperate Asia.
