Notes

'Timon' peony (Paeonia 'Timon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early red semi-double flowers fade to lighter pink at the edges, and the upright stems hold them without support. Joshua Scholten bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
