Notes

'Timoteo' peony (Paeonia 'Timoteo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, single, dark red flowers are fragrant and sit on a bush that reaches 28 inches tall. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
