Notes

'Tonka White' peony (Paeonia 'Tonka White') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant white flowers have mauve flares and open at midseason on upright stems that reach 28 inches. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the stems need no support. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Stargazer lily, and Patriot hosta.
