'Torrens' tulip (Tulipa 'Torrens') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers are purple red with strawberry red edges, so they add rich color to a bed. They bloom from early to late spring, which gives you a long season of color. Segers Bros bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Black Beauty peony.
