Notes

'Toy Delight' peony (Paeonia 'Toy Delight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 20 inches tall and bears fragrant, scarlet, cupped single blooms with long golden stamens that attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Little bluestem.
