Notes
'Trajan' peony (Paeonia 'Trajan') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its red, ruffled flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The upright stems stand without support.
Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
