Notes

'True Blue' gentian (Gentiana 'True Blue') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Royal blue tubular flowers open along the stems from summer to fall, and bees visit them. Plant it at the front of the border, and give it some shade from hot afternoon sun.

Pairs well with Chocolate lily, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Queen of Sweden rose.
