Notes
Willow gentian (Gentiana asclepiadea) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and bears white to cream flowers in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Foxglove, Red Charm peony, and Korean spice viburnum.
