Notes

'Tubac' cactus apple (Opuntia santarita 'Tubac') is a succulent for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 35 to 47 inches tall and 59 to 71 inches wide, so give it room. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Birds visit it, and it is drought tolerant once settled.

Pairs well with Kiwi aeonium, Soap aloe, and Stonecrop.
