Notes

'Tuff Stuff Top Fun' mountain hydrangea (Hydrangea serrata 'Tuff Stuff Top Fun') is a shrub for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 2 to 3 feet tall and wide. Rich pink to purple lacecaps sit on burgundy stems, and the color depends on soil pH. Flowers open on old wood and then rebloom on new wood, and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Lungwort, and River birch.
