Notes

'Turbillon' peony (Paeonia 'Turbillon') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Semi-double yellow-orange flowers open in early to late spring with fine red veining and dark red flares. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Grape hyacinth, and Big bluestem.
