Notes

Tussock bellflower (Campanula carpatica) is a perennial for rock gardens, borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It forms a neat clump with violet-blue flowers in spring and again in summer. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Carlton daffodil, and Cytherea peony.

Native range

Native to the Carpathian Mountains in Europe.
