Notes
'Twilight' peony (Paeonia 'Twilight') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Purple or violet-red flowers open in early to late spring with darker centers and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Mallow, Endless Summer hydrangea, and Johnny jump up.
