Notes

'Ulster Gem' rose (Rosa 'Ulster Gem') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The bushy plant has large, dark green, leathery leaves and fragrant, medium yellow blooms. Flowers open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Hugh Dickson bred it in 1917.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Jackmanii clematis, and Japanese forest grass.
