Notes

'Ursa Minor' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ursa Minor') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms are cherry-red and cream with pink blending. Each strong stem carries three to four buds in late spring. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and it grows 28 to 30 inches tall.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Monkshood, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
