Notes

'Valkyrie Yellow Aster' (Callistephus chinensis 'Valkyrie Yellow Aster') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or chalky soil. It reaches about 24 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, which open in early to late summer.

Pairs well with False Queen Anne's lace, Gentian sage, First Knight fountain grass, and Purple top.
