Notes
'Van der Maeli' tree peony (Paeopnia suffruticosa 'Van der Maeli') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are double, so they make full, ruffled blooms for cutting.
Pairs well with Susan magnolia, Stargazer lily, and Cheyenne Spirit echinacea.
