Notes
'Vanille Fraise' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Vanille Fraise') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Butterflies and bees visit the summer blooms, and the shrub grows fast with an arching habit. Deer tend to pass it by. It is also salt tolerant.
Pairs well with Coneflower, Black-eyed Susan, and Japanese forest grass.
