Notes

'Variegatum' fairy bells (Disporum sessile 'Variegatum') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 12 to 36 inches, so it fills a shady spot over time. White flowers open in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Wood lily, and Swamp azalea.
