Notes

Veiny pea (Lathyrus venosus) is a perennial for woodland gardens, naturalized areas, and shady banks. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and dry to moist soil. Purple or bi-colored purple and white flowers open in elongate clusters in early to mid summer. The vine-like stems climb by tendrils at the leaf tips, so give them something to hold.

Pairs well with Interrupted fern, Purple flowering raspberry, and Eastern hop hornbeam.
