Notes

'Venus Genetrix' peony (Paeonia 'Venus Genetrix') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early blooming semi-double flowers open coral pink with cream white and light pink edges, and bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Joshua Scholten bred it.

Pairs well with Fragrant Bouquet hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Nodding onion.
