Notes
'Vina Mae' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Vina Mae') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double flowers are shell-pink with a lavender cast and fade to almost white. The cupped petals hold their color well, and the plant produces blooms in profusion. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.
Pairs well with Miss Kim lilac, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
