Notes

'Virginia Cory' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Virginia Cory') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Sarah A. Pleas bred it, and H. A. Terry introduced it in 1905. You can cut the blooms for bouquets, and the clumps return each year in the bed.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, and Western sword fern.
