Notes

'Viridis' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Viridis') is a shrub for specimen plantings, accents, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows slowly into a broad shape and tolerates drought. Bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Wood forget-me-not, Lamb’s ear, Ballerina tulip, and American hornbeam.
