Notes

'Wabash' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Wabash') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double flowers are dull rose pink with white on the outside and tips of the petals. Strong stems hold the blooms well above the foliage at about 27 inches high. Harry L. Smith bred it.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Nepeta, and Royal fern.
