Notes
'Wade Buchanan' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Wade Buchanan') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink flowers are fragrant and open almost to a bomb shape, with blushing pink inner petals. The blooms face up, so the stems need no support. R & N Wallace bred it, and it first bloomed in 2004.
Pairs well with Balloon flower, Japanese spirea, and Blue grama.
