Notes

'Walhall' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Walhall') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The red flowers have narrow, strap-like petals and measure about 5 inches across. Blooms are single and semi-double on the same plant, and they usually come three to a stem. The upright plants grow to about 30 inches tall.

Pairs well with Hosta, Knapweed, and Cinnamon fern.
